Begin your adventure with your arrival into Bir, a quaint Tibetan village nestled in the midst of Dhauladhar Range. Check into your cozy guesthouse or homestay for some precious time in the lap of nature. Spend the later part of the day exploring local Tibetan monasteries like Sherab Ling Monastery and the Bir Road Market for some handicrafts and souvenirs. Close your day with a quiet and peaceful dinner at one of the local cafes, famous for its organic and Tibetan cuisine.
Rise early and hoof it to Billing, the paragliding take-off point located about 14 km uphill from Bir. Billing is famous all over the world because of its perfect conditions of winds and views from above. Once done with some briefing by professional pilots, launch on a tandem-flight for 20 to 30 minutes.
Float in the air while admiring the fantastic view of Kangra Valley, snowy peaks, and trees, and finally land back in Bir for an afternoon of peaceful relaxation or tour through picturesque tea gardens nearby.
Spend a peaceful day strolling around the Bir area on your third day. Go to the Deer Park Institute, which focuses on Indian philosophies and meditative practices, and the Dharmalaya Institute, also known for its eco-friendly ways.
Thrill-seekers might try mountain biking on some of the more rugged trails around Bir, or opt for trekking over to Gunehar Waterfalls. Spend your evening enjoying a bonfire and stargazing at your guest house.
Then after having the breakfast, leave this town quietly to reach another destination, but if time permits, visit the nearby Palpung Sherabling Monastic Seat before proceeding to another destination.
